The Sepulchral Guard

I was away on holiday this week so I didn’t get any hobby done, but I realised I hadn’t shared these guys yet, so here they are!

The next three loyal minions of Nagash guarding Shadespire from the thieving hands of Order, Destruction and Chaos. I shared the Warden a while back, and I was pleased with the way both he and these guys turned out, but since painting them I’ve done some of my Nighthaunt, and I want to go back now and tweak the Shadespire band to match them so that I can use them all together in some Skirmish games. First thing will be to do the bases to match, and then I’ll see how they look. The weapons on these guys are considerably less rusty too, so I might do something about that.

There’s not a whole lot to look at on the back of these lot, but I was very happy with the shade of blue-green that I got on the Champion’s shield. Of course, I’ve completely forgotten how I did it by now, so he may have to just remain unique, as befits his status!

Anyway, that’s about all I’ve got to share this week. It’s a short one! It’ll hopefully not be too long before I get on to finish off the last three of the warband. In related news, I signed up to the mentorship scheme on the AoS28 Facebook group, so I’m working on AoS28-ifying Steelheart’s Champions as well, so keep an eye out for them in the next few weeks or so.

Till next time!

  1. You’ve done a fantastic job painting this unit! 🙂

I’m getting a Dark Souls vibe from seeing these skeletons, which is a good thing! If The Sepulcharl Guard’s design is used for the whole Deathrattle range (like the Banshee and Wraith being an influence for the Nighthaunt range), I think it would be another big hit for the Death alliance.
