Greetings, fellow humans! This week, I have mostly been getting out all of my (now fully painted) Nurgle army for a group photo. If you didn’t sing the post title in a David Draiman voice then you need to go back and try again!
I painted the vast majority of my army since Dark Imperium was released last Summer. The exception being half of my Chaos Daemons, which I painted a few months beforehand – to give my army a head start ready for 8th edition!
My Death Guard come to just over 2,000 points, and consist of the following:
- Lord of Contagion
- Malignant Plaguecaste
- Noxious Blightbringer
- Foul Blightspawn
- 3*7 Plague Marines
- 2*10 Chaos Cultists
- 2*16 Poxwalkers
- 5 Blightlord Terminators
- Foetid Bloat-Drone
- 3 Myphitic Blight-Haulers
My Nurgle Daemons come to roughly 700 points, and consist of the following:
- Horticulous Slimux
- Poxbringer
- 20 Plaguebearers
- 6 Nurglings
- 3 Beasts of Nurgle
- 3 Plague Drones
I even got a picture of Horticulous’ silhouette with some funky lighting. I bet Ross will be proud of me for this one!
I’ve also used the Nurgle element in a few Age of Sigmar games: getting crushed by Dwarfs and the Empire, but giving a decent account of themselves against some Moonclan. They weren’t The Brotherhood of Ognob though…
I feel sorry for that Nurgling, it must be difficult trying to stay alive whilst being used as bait for that snail (nurgly snail thing?).

It looks happy enough, so it can’t be that bad! :p
