Greetings, fellow humans! This week, I have mostly been painting a Mourngul! I know it’s not a greenskin model, but bare with me.
I’ve loved the Mourngul model since I first saw it. It’s terrifying. Despite not collecting any Death factions, I wanted it. Size-wise, it’s similar enough to the Gargants that I concocted Nart’s demise in Triple Trouble as the justification for including it. It’s just a recently-deceased Gargant! I clipped off the Empire Pistolier that was originally on its base as it was a bit excessive compared to the rest of my bases, and just green-stuffed a simple rock in its place. I sold the unused parts a while ago though, so I’m no longer flogging a dead horse.
The Mourngul was ridiculously quick/easy to do, as I just painted the whole thing as green Waaagh! magic: a Celestra Grey base, a Waywatcher Green glaze and then a White Scar drybrush. Now that it’s painted, here’s a family photo. From left to right, we have: Uzwak, Wellud and Nart.
I’m off to the Black Library Weekender this weekend, so I’ll see if I can get in a quick game or two of Kill Team or Warcry at Warhammer World while I’m there…
May I offer a light golf clap for the horse pun?
